Properly preserved core samples are essential for critical in-situ rock properties such as saturations, wettability, mechanical integrity and gas compositions. We know that accurately determining these geological properties makes a huge difference in how you treat your well. That’s why our analytical labs have meticulous core handling and marking procedures in place to ensure you get the data you need when it matters the most. Core handling procedures include:

  • Core samples and tubes marked for quality control
  • Specially designed containers used to heat or cool samples during storage and transportation to maintain properties
  • Core samples wrapped and waxed for long or short-term preservation
  • Personnel available on-site to oversee coring operations and overall quality control, as required
